Red Balloon – Norwich are a finalist in the Resilience category in Norfolk Flourish Awards. The Flourish Awards which annually take place each year showcase the best practice across the county across schools, Charities and support services who have gone above and beyond to make a stand-out difference to the children and families of Norfolk.

The Resilence category judged by young people recognises individuals, teams, or projects that demonstrate exceptional dedication to building resilience in young people. 

We are delighted to be nominated for the Resilience Award. One of our core objectives for young people is to build resilience as they re-connect with the education system after struggling in mainstream learning due to a range of reasons including severe anxiety, bullying, trauma and emotional school based avoidance.

To be nominated by our community is a testimony to our exceptional staff team who work tirelessly to achieve the very best for students and their families allowing them to make positive steps into adult life and beyond. There have been some amazing outcomes from young people sustaining full time attendance for the first time in years, overcoming anxiety to sit exams and overcoming barriers to medical needs to attend a workplacement with support.
